Major is an ongoing sports manga series by Takuya Mitsuda. It is serialized in Shōnen Sunday and has been collected in 68 tankobon volumes to date, with serialized chapters up to the equivalent of volume 69. In 1996, it received the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen.[1]
The series has been adapted as an anime series produced by NHK and Studio Hibari titled Major (メジャー Mejā?) (using katakana instead of the manga’s English characters). The first episode was broadcast on November 13, 2004, and is currently in its fifth season. Season five began airing on January 4, 2009. An animated film telling the story between the first and second seasons of the anime has been announced (Thanks to Wikipedia.)

Mokke (もっけ?) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by manga author Takatoshi Kumakura. The manga was first serialized in the Japanese seinen manga magazine Afternoon Season Zoukan on August 2000. The magazine was suspended after its 14th issue, and the manga continued its serialization from the March 2003 issue of Afternoon magazine. An animeadaptation by MADHOUSE started its broadcast run in October 2007.
The title is the representation in hiragana for the kanji mokke (勿怪?), meaning “unexpected”. The series revolves around the Hibara sisters’ encounters with Japanese demons and spirits. The older sister, Shizuru, has the ability to see these apparitions, while the younger sister, Mizuki, has a tendency to become possessed by them. They live in the countryside because their parents were unable to deal with their supernatural abilities; their grandfather is an expert in such affairs. Through their encounters with the supernatural, Mizuki and Shizuru learn about both themselves and the world at large. (Thanks to Wikipedia.)

Fighting Beauty Wulong (格闘美神武龍 Kakutō Bishin Ūron?) is a shōnen manga series by Yūgo Ishikawa There are currently 19 volumes. The story has been adapted into an anime which spans two series. Both anime series covers volume 00-18. The first series is Fighting Beauty Wulong and the second is Fighting Beauty Wulong: Rebirth. Both series have approximately 25 episodes apiece.
The lead character, Mao Ran, a person of Chinese origin born and raised in Japan, has been trained in the secret martial art of her family by her drunken lecherous grandfather Master Mao Hun. Her grandfather has promised her that he’ll tell her what happened to her parents to encourage her to train and fight. Without her knowledge, her grandfather signs her up to participate in a televised martial arts competition between female martial artists known as “Prime Mat”. During the course of the manga and anime it is revealed that Ran’s mother married Cao Da Hen and gave birth to Ran’s step sister Ling Shen. (Thanks to Wikipedia.)

Gag Manga Biyori (ギャグマンガ日和? lit. Good Day for Gag Manga) is a manga serialized in Monthly Shōnen Jump until July 2007 when the magazine ceased to publish. The manga will continue serialization in its monthly successor, Jump Square.
Two 12-episode anime series were produced, selecting stories from the manga. Each episode is 5 minutes long. A third season is currently airing, since March 2008.

Ginban Kaleidoscope (銀盤 カレイドスコープ Ginban Kareidosukōpu?, lit. Skating Rink Kaleidoscope), is a series of light novels written by Rei Kaibara and illustrated by Hiro Suzuhira. The manga adaptation is also written by Rei Kaibara and illustrated by Jun Hasegawa. An anime adaptation of the first arc of the novels, aired weekly on TV Tokyo from October 8, 2005 to December 24, 2005. Ginban won the 2002 Super Dash Novel Rookie of the Year Award Grand Prize.
Plot:
The story revolves around Tazusa Sakurano, a Japanese Olympic figure skating candidate, and Pete Pumps, a Canadian stunt pilot. During a qualifying round in Montreal, Canada, Tazusa falls in the middle of aTriple Lutz and loses consciousness. At the same time, Pete dies mid-performance when his stunt plane crashes due to mechanical trouble. Unfortunately for Tazusa, Pete ends up involuntarily inhabiting her body for 100 days. Vampire Knight (ヴァンパイア騎士 Vanpaia Naito?) is a shōjo manga and anime series written by Matsuri Hino. The series premiered in the January 2005 issue of LaLa magazine and is still on-going. Chapters are collected and published in collected volumes by Hakusensha, with nine volumes currently released in Japan. The manga series is licensed in English by Viz Media. The English adaptation premiered in the July 2006 issue of Viz’s Shojo Beat magazine, with the collected volumes being published on a quarterly basis.
Two drama CDs were created for the series, as well as a twenty-six episode anime adaptation. Produced by Studio Deen, the anime series’ first season aired in Japan on TV Tokyo between April 8, 2008 and July 1, 2008. The second season, titled Vampire Knight Guilty, began airing on the same TV station between October 7, 2008 and December 29, 2008. The anime uses many of the same voice actors as were used for the drama CDs.
Plot:
Yuki Cross’s earliest memory is of a snowy night in winter, when she was attacked by one vampire and was saved by another, Kaname Kuran.Yuki is the adopted daughter of the Headmaster of Cross Academy, Cross Kaien and has grown up and become a prefect for the school with one main purpose: to protect the Human Day Class Students and the Vampire Night Class Students from each other. Her fellow guardian, Zero Kiryu, a childhood companion whose parents were killed by a pureblood vampire, is now determined to kill them all and refuses to trust them. Through a cruel twist of fate, Zero becomes a vampire himself, having been bitten by a pure-blood vampire four years before, Shizuka Hio. Bus Gamer (ビズゲーマー Bizu Gēmā?) The series follows the story of three young men hired by a mysterious company to participate in a business game, in which companies gamble against each other for corporate secrets. It has also produced a drama CD featuring the voices of Suzumura Kenichi, Suwabe Junichi, and Hiroki Takahashi. An anime adaptation of the manga premiered on the Japanese television network KBS Kyoto between March 14 and March 28, 2008, airing a total of three episodes. It is directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya, produced by Frontier Works, and animated by Studio Izena. The characters are voiced by the same voice actors in the drama CD.
Plot:
An illegal dog-fight conducted in strict secrecy, the Bus Game is a battle simulation game where gamers are selected by various corporations to compete three-on-three on a battleground which is usually inside Tokyo. The teams are divided into “HOME” and “AWAY”. The “HOME” team is given a disk containing their corporation’s secret files to protect while the “AWAY” team attempts to steal the disk. The “AWAY” team wins if they are able to steal the disk within the given time limit where the “HOME” team wins if they are able to keep their disk safe. The game information and details are distributed to the gamers via mini-disk. The businesses participating in the Bus Game wager large amounts of money on each game, watching the action from a distance. In other words, the Bus Games is a gambling pastime in which the gamers are pawns for their amusement. In exchange for putting their lives at stake, the gamers stand to gain large amount of money, through their contracts and through winning each match of the Bus Game.
When three complete strangers, Toki Mishiba, Nobuto Nakajyo, and Kazuo Saitoh, are hired by a corporation to compete in the Bus Game, they are given the team code of “Team AAA” (Triple Anonymous or No Name). This group of three who differ entirely from their living environment and values to protect each other’s lives — but without mutually wiping out their mistrust of each other or prying into each other’s privacy, it would be the worst sort of teamwork, conflicting in every way. They only have one point in common, simply that each of them need a large amount of money for their individual circumstances. Starting with Power Pack Day One #1, which is a retelling of the Power Pack’s origin, Marvel’s premiere team of super kids. We really enjoyed this book and not just because there’s ponies in it!Then we take a look at The Goblin Chronicles #1. We’re split on this one. It’s being billed as Shrek meets the Lord of the Rings. The art is great, but there are some issues here.We picked up Wolverine First Class #1, another all-ages title this week. Pete didn’t like the berzerker rage that Wolverine goes into. And Alex, the Kitty Pryde fan of the group, has a lot to be happy about here. We really enjoyed this title and hope you pick it up, too.And finally, we discuss: Are all-ages comics necessary? Comics are supposed to be for everyone, so why are there all-ages comics? As a kid, wouldn’t you rather read a title that’s more adult? We’ll talk about all these issues in this edition of The Stack! Story:
Long, long ago, there existed a world of magic and science. God, afraid of man’s potential, split the world in to the world of science, Elde, and the world of magic, Fandavale. One day in Fandavale, a terrible witch named Cendrillon (Cinderella) revives. Cendrillon plots to rule both worlds, and searches for the “key” which holds tremendous power.
A young boy from Elde by the name of Sōta meets a mysterious girl from Fandavale, Akazukin, and her talking wolf companion, Val. Sōta learns that he is the key Cendrillon is searching for.
